European Technology Platforms (ETPs), aim to bring all parties (privaSte sector, public-regulator institutions, researchers, financiers, users) interested in technology area that has been chosen with the leadership of industry, together to establish a common technological vision. There are 36 ETPs in various technological areas. Turk Telekom is the member, active supporter and contributer of 3 ETPs (Net!Works, NEM, NESSI).
NEM (Networked & Electronic Media)
The NEM Initiative aims at building sustainable European leadership in content production and networking technologies. Its objective is to promote an innovative European approach to the convergence of media and telecommunications towards a Future Media Internet that will enhance the lives of European citizens through a richer media experience. Turk Telekom was the sponsor of two NEM Summits (Barcelona 2010, Torino 2011) as gold sponsor and is the Steering Board Member of NEM since September 2011.
Net!Works (E-mobility)
The Net!Works platform stands for bringing together European organizations to address, as a community, the challenges of future networks, building on Europe's success in mobile communications. The platform supports action and efficient collaboration, enabling the network community to turn visions into innovations.
NESSI (Networked European Software and Services Initiative)
NESSI is the European Technology Platform dedicated to Software and Services and established to address the major changes that are driving the IT services marketplace.
