  • Türk Telekom Group continues to support the sports in Turkey with its sponsorship for Galatasaray

    The Türk Telekom Family continues to support the sports and the sportsmen/sportswomen in Turkey and reconstructures the sponsorships for supporting the sports together with its group companies. Within the scope of these sponsorships, Türk Telekom and Avea’s support for four major football teams is targeted. The first step of the strategy has been taken by Türk Telekom becoming a sponsor for Galatasaray as from the 2009-2010 season.

    The “Turk Telekom Photo-Journalists Basketball Photography Contest”, which had been initiated by Turk Telekom for the photo-journalists in order to eternalize the excitement of basketball through photograph frames, has been completed. Halil Ozkan from Yeni Safak Newspaper has won the first place.

In order to raise individuals ready to the information society of the future, Türk Telekom says: “Full Support to Education”

Education is the priority of Türk Telekom in terms of investing in the social responsibility area. Türk Telekom which provides full support to education by realizing school projects in different parts of Turkey, contributes to raise individuals who are ready for the information society of future by allowing the students and the teachers to benefit from the opportunities of internet and computers thanks to the joint projects with international technology giants such as Microsoft and Intel.

Full Support to Education

Türk Telekom with its main goal being development of the educational infrastructure and generalization of accessing to information all over Turkey, will construct 55 schools and educational facilities by investing in the Full Support to Education project, and provide a more effective education to about 40.000 students. Within the framework of “E21- Education of 21st Century Project” realized by cooperation of Türk Telekom and Intel, and supported by the Ministry of National Education, it is aimed that 600.000 teachers in our country are provided the opportunities presented by internet and computer technologies until 2011, and so the students will be able to become a member of the information society.
