Who can make use of TT SMS Service?

  • You should have CLIP (Calling Line Identification) feature in your telephone in order to use SMS service.
  • Our customers having SMS supported telephone sets may receive and send SMS.
  • On the other hand, our customers without SMS supported telephone sets may not send SMS over their telephones yet listen the SMS sent to them (Our system converts SMSs to voice messages for and conveys them to our customers without SMS supported telephone sets).

How is an SMS sent through TT SMS Service?

Sending SMSs by SMS compatible telephone sets;
  • You should activate the SMS service only for once before the initial use.  No registration or activation fee is required.
  • On the Settings of your telephone device, save 0800 500 0000 as the SMS center access number.  Besides, you may send SMSs to home, work and cell phones on the Internet by using the password to be given to you.
  • On the Menu of your telephone, point to 'Messages', point to Type Message/New Message.
  • Type your message.
  • After typing your message, point to ‘Options’ and then select ‘Send’.
  • Add 0 (zero) and the area code in front of the telephone number to which you would like to send your message and send your message by clicking ‘OK’.
Sending SMSs on the Internet;
  • Get your Internet password by calling 444 4 564 Customer Services.
  • You may access the service on the Online Services menu.
  • After entering your telephone number and password, you may send your SMS either to a cell phone or to a home/work phone.

How long is 1 SMS?

One SMS consists of 160 characters and the message sent is charged for the price of 1 SMS.
A message could be written with more than 160 characters through the Web or if the telephone machine is compatible.
However, if it exceeds 160 characters, for instance; once a TT SMS of 321 characters is sent, it is charged as 3 SMS.
If an SMS of 159 characters is sent, it is charged as 1 SMS.

What to do in order to cancel the service?

Once our TT SMS using customers do not wish to use this feature, applying to Telecom Directorate in a written way shall be sufficient.
