Announcements Related to Türk Telekom A.Ş 2008 Technician / Engineer Examinations

Control of Backgrounds

While checking applications made for our announcements. It is understood that there are a lot of candidates with non conforming conditions. Within this context, as the examination fees, in case paid by the applicants, are not allowed to be returned back, applicant shall be subject to damnification When the information access are checked during the applications there were found deficient and incorrect access especially related with the status of education. For having the right to take the examination information referred in the backgrounds should be reviewed and false ones should be corrected.

General Applications

Applications with non conforming conditions should be made over general applications. Backgrounds in the applications for this announcement shall be recorded in our data base to be evaluated for probable positions which might occur in the future. In case a position occurs coherent with the qualifications candidates shall be contacted. Those who wish to apply can make their applications fort his announcement in case there is not any announcement published related to desired area. Desired duty/area of expertise and the province desired to work in should be indicated in the applications.

Wage

Information related to the wage of the employers to be assigned shall be conveyed to successful applicants after examination and interview stages. Questions sent to isealim2008@turktelekom.com.tr e mail address and backgrounds sent to e mail address regarding recruitment shall not be taken into evaluation, applications should be made only to www.turktelekom.com.tr address.

Applications

  • Applications shall begin on 11.05.2008 Sunday and terminate on 30.05.2008 Friday 18: 00 hrs.
  • Applications shall be only made over www.turktelekom.com.tr address and applications those made by hand or through mail or e mail shall not be accepted.
  • The issues which should be paid attention in the applications are;
    • T.R Identity number should be accessed correctly.
    • Applications made by the applicants with non conforming conditions shall not be taken into evaluation.
    • Applicant can only choose a unique province.
    • Applicants for each province shall be taken into evaluation within their own groups.
    • Successful applicants shall take charge in the provinces they preferred and their claims for transportation shall not be taken into evaluation unless based on compulsory reasons( life safety, spouse- related for instance)
    • For the validity of your application, primarily membership to Career Page in ww.turktelekom.com.tr address is required, afterwards a new background should be prepared finally the application should be made together with this final background.
    • Successful applicants shall receive “application acceptance e – mail” into their e mail addresses and applicants those not receiving this e mail should review their applications.
    • For the validity of the applications made over Career page and to provide the applicants to take the examination; applicants should deposit 25 YTL in the Account Number 12614 / Branch Code 4399 in Türkiye İş Bankası Institutional Branch from bank cash desks- provided that T.R identity number, name and surname, parent names should be indicated -until 30 May 2008 end of working hours latest. Without depositing the subject fee, applications shall not be taken into consideration. Besides, fees deposited with wrong identity number declaration, fees deposited within the applications which are not approved by the system, fees deposited with non conforming conditions shall not be returned to the applicants.
    • While entering graduated school information, sections you are looking for related to school choices are located at the highest linest of the choices, this issue should be considered why selection is being made. High school students in last class who are able to receive their diploma or graduation certificates in terms of 10 July 2008 are provided the opportunity to apply to the examination and those who can not submit diploma or graduation certificate in application to receive certificate of examination shall not be taken into the examination.
    • To receive their certificates of examination applicants are required to apply personnally . between 7.2008 – 11.07.2008 during 08.00-18.00 hrs to Province Telekom Directorate Human Resources Department located in the province they choose together with the below mentioned documents:
      • 1 unit of passport photograph (taken in last six months, wit the dimensions of 4,5 cmx 6 cm.)
      • Certificate of Birth
      • Diploma (it is required to graduate from schools providing formal education or relevant departments of domestic or foreign schools abroad of which the equivalence are approved by relevant authorities.)
      • Military certificate( Certificate of discharge from the ones who completed military service, exemption certificate from those who are exempted.)The postponed ones in terms of military service among the applicants to be employed as technicians shall not be accepted. The applicants to employ at engineer position shall submit their military certificate on the starting time of employment.

Original and one duplicate copy from each document should be brought, original ones shall be returned afterwards.( in case the original ones are not available notarized copies should be submitted). Applicants who do not submit above mentioned documents are not delivered Certificate of Examination with photograph and are not allowed to take the examination.

  • Recruitment of computer engineers shall be assigned only in Ankara and İstanbul and also in other companies of Türk Telekom according to the necessity and applicants with other choices of provinces shall not be taken into consideration.
  • Recruitment of engineers in the 1.Group and technicians in 2. Group shall be carried out by all Türk Telekom Directorates.
  • Applicants declaring false information, whether passes the examination and assigned accordingly, shall be dismissed when the false declaration is determined.
  • In the Career Page included in www.turktelekom.com.tr address, there is a space for FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS. But questions related to the issues other than this context can be asked by phone call from 444 1 444 or through e mail from the address of isealim2008@turktelekom.com.tr
  • Applicants should be free from mental illness or physical disability which prevent them to work( to be able to work throughout Turkey)
  • Except judicial sentences postponed other than negligent offenses and crimes referred below, Applicants should not be convicted from penal servitude or imprisonment over 6 months or even utilized from amnesty but infamous crimes such as committed against the existence of the state ,debit, extortion, theft, fraud, falsification, abuse, fraudulent bankruptcy and except use or consumption smuggling ;smuggling, official bid and purchase rigging, disclosure of state secrets.

EXAMINATION PROCESS

  • Due to the results of the applications applicants fulfilling the pre selection conditions shall be subject to written examination.
  • Written examinations shall be made regionally and the region of the examination shall be indicated in the certificate of examination.
  • Applicants shall be taken into written examination in 3 different groups in accordance with their graduations.

From two groups determined for engineers; graduates from the following departments shall be included;

1. GROUP:

Electronic and Communication, Electronic, Electric Electronic, Telecommunication Departments of Faculty of Engineering

2. GROUP:

Faculty of Engineering; from the groups determined for Computer technicians

3. GROUP:

Electronic Communication, Electric, Electric Electronic Departments of 2 years Vocational schools

The contents of the examinations: Applicants shall be subject to field examination related to graduations within the groups, General Ability Examination directed to the ability of critical thinking, analytic skill, skill for problem solving and to measure attention and the questions in the examination shall be of multiple choice.

Planning of the Examinations

1. GROUP

Area Examination; the Examination with 90 questions and duration of 150 minutes shall begin on 12.07.2008, at: 9.30 hrs. English and General Ability Examination: the examination with 50 questions from English and 50 questions from General Ability, totally 100 questions, and with the duration of 150 minutes shall begin on 12.07.2008 at:14 :30 hrs. Among these examinations, the English test shall be the prelim and shall be evaluated upon weighted average from 40% general ability and %60 area questions.

2. GROUP

Area Examination: The examination with 90 questions and with the duration of 180 minutes shall begin on 12.07.2008 at:09.30 hrs. English and General Ability Examination: the examination with 50 questions from English and 50 questions from General Ability, totally 100 questions, and with the duration of 150 minutes shall begin on 12.07.2008 at:14 :30 hrs. Among these examinations, the English test shall be the prelim and shall be evaluated upon weighted average from 40% general ability and %60 area questions.

3 GROUP

Area and General Ability Examination: The Examination with 80 questions from Area Knowledge and 40 questions from general ability, totally120 questions, and with the duration of 150 minutes shall begin on 12.07.2008 at: 09.30 hrs.

Among these examinations; evaluation shall be based on weighted average from 30% general ability and 70% from area questions.

The level of success in the written examination is minimum 60 points and evaluations shall be carried out according to the provinces and the number of the applicants to be invited for the interview shall be the maximum three fold of those to be employed in accordance with the ranking to begin from the highest point of the examination.

As regards the English Proficiency Examination required for the engineers, the level of success is minimum 60 points for the applicants in Ankara, İstanbul and İzmir whereas it is 40 points for the applicants in other cities.

Written examination results shall be announced in www.turktelekom.com.tr and in the web site of the university which shall make he examination and the results can be reached by access with TR identity number, moreover the place and date of interviews which the successful applicants shall be subject to can be either reached here.

NOTE: Updating shall be performed in case necessity exists for the addition or amendment of some issues subject to the announcement.
