Students at Türk Telekom Schools had their skills race

Türk Telekom awarded the students becoming successful in the painting, poetry and literary essay contest it has organized among the Türk Telekom Schools.

Türk Telekom, the leading company of communication and convergence technologies in Turkey, has organized a painting, poetry and literary composition contest among the students studying at Türk Telekom Schools it has opened throughout the country. The contest has attracted a great attention among the students of 48 Türk Telekom Schools of which 16 are of primary and 32 are secondary education institutions.

The awards for successful students, who expressed the values added to their lives by Türk Telekom, were presented their awards with a ceremony in Ankara. The successful students won awards like laptops, annual TTNET and Vitamin subscriptions, cameras and mp4 players.

Stating that they have targeted to generate a strong awareness about communication technologies in general and especially the value added to their lives by Türk Telekom in the competition, Şükrü Kutlu, VP Regulation and Support Devices, said: “The schools we have opened until now in order to generate values throughout Turkey fill an important gap in the field of education in our country. We continue our support in this field with activities motivating our children’s creativity and making them aware of opportunities presented by the modern world. The students at Türk Telekom schools have expressed the place of Türk Telekom in their lives in the painting, poetry and literary essay contest organized. We saw very different works reflecting the children’s world and telling the value added to life by Türk Telekom with a very special language. We had a very hard time to determine works to be awarded, but are happy to give them a chance to use their creativities”.

The students winning the first prizes in the painting, poetry and literary essay contest organized among Türk Telekom Schools are as follows: Kübra Atmaca of Giresun Kesap Türk Telekom Primary School in the primary school literary composition category, Ali Zelan of Hakkari Türk Telekom Şehit Binbaşı Murat Özyalçın Anadolu High School in the secondary school literary composition category, Seda Alasırt of Osmaniye Sumbaş Türk Telekom Binali Yıldırım YİBO in the primary school poetry category, Zeynep Akdeniz of Ağrı Türk Telekom Anadolu High School in the secondary school poetry category, Rabia Asma of Kayseri Sarız Türk Telekom YİBO in the primary school painting category and Sümeyye Ağım of Batman Türk Telekom Anadolu High School in the secondary school painting category.

Türk Telekom constructs education facilities within the context of the Türk Telekom Schools project it has put into implementation with the understanding to invest in the future. More than 30 thousand students will have the opportunity to be educated in 76 buildings of education when the Türk Telekom Schools project has been finalized.
