Technology Easing Your Expenses From Türk Telekom: Wirofon

Türk Telekom added another one to its innovative products and services that make its customers’ lives easier. With Türk Telekom’s Wirofon technology it’s now possible to make calls with mobile phones via home lines from WiFi spots. Calls made from mobile phones with Wirofon technology will be billed upon the tariff of home line and included in the same billing.
Türk Telekom makes home lines mobile with Wirofon technology. By means of Wirofon service, Türk Telekom customers will be able to make calls via their home lines by using their WiFi supporting mobile phones or computers from anywhere. Türk Telekom presents the advantages of easy usage and low cost with this revolutionary technology which will change the habit of telephone usage.
With Wirofon technology, Türk Telekom customers can make calls via their home line tariffs from WiFi spots in Turkey and all around the world. Charges of these calls are included in the home line billing. With Wirofon technology it’s also possible to make calls with computers from anywhere with internet connection. To benefit from Wirofon service, it’s only needed to own a fixed line of Türk Telekom and a WiFi compatible mobile phone supporting SIP protocol or with Windows Mobile operating system, or a computer with internet connection. No extra subscribership fee is charged for Wirofon. Besides, it’s possible to make simultaneous calls with a number registered to Wirofon subscribership.
Commenting on how Türk Telekom focuses on innovative and value adding technologies for its customers, Türk Telekom General Manager Dr. Paul Doany said: “Our difference is that we develop these technologies within our group. We’re thrilled of developing Wirofon technology which brings mobilization to home lines. Wirofon comes with its campaign!
In scope of the campaign organized by Türk Telekom in order to introduce Wirofon to Turkey, first 100.000 people subscribing to Wirofon before the end of the year will get 1000 minutes of their monthly domestic calls to home lines via Wirofon for free. Within the scope of the campaign, GSM calls will be charged as 0.09 TL per minute, all taxes included. No subscribership fee or commitment is needed to benefit from the campaign. Besides, within the scope of the campaign no extra fee will be charged for Wirofon access from TTNET hotspots until the end of the year.
In order to benefit from Wirofon service, Türk Telekom customers need to write their home line numbers and send to 6606 as SMS, to fill in the necessary information in www.wirofon.com, call 444 1 444 Türk Telekom Call Center or apply to Türk Telekom dealers.
Some of the WiFi compatible mobile phones that are needed to benefit from Wirofon service are Nokia E51, E60, E61i, E63, E65, E66, E70, E71, E75, E90, N79, N80, N81, N81 8GB, N82, N85, N95, N95 8GB models, Samsung Omnia, HTC Touch, HTC Touch Viva, HTC HD, Apple iPhone, Apple iPhone 3G models. With Wirofon technology it’s also possible to make calls with Apple iPod Touch.
It’s also very easy for customers to set up Wirofon settings to their Wirofon compatible mobile phones. Wirofon program can be downloaded to mobile phones with Windows Mobile operating system from www.wirofon.com. Wirofon settings for Nokia phones can be saved by SMS. And for iPhone mobile phones, wirofon program can be downloaded for free from iTunes Store. To make Wirofon calls from computers, it’s just needed to download Wirofon program from www.wirofon.com and enter the assigned user name and password.
