Turk Telekom's athlete Muhammad Ali has become the pride of Konya

Muhammad Ali Durukanlıcan, the athlete of Konya Türk Telekom Sport Club, came second in Turkey Taekwondo Championships in junior category.
The athletes that Türk Telekom, the leading communication and convergence technologies company in Turkey, has trained add new ones to their successes that they have achieved to date. Most recently, Muhammed Ali Durukanlıcan, one of the athletes of Konya Türk Telekom Sports Club, came second in Turkey Taekwondo Championships in junior category in 87 kg. 500 athletes from 45 different cities participated in the Championships held in Ordu.
Muhammad Ali Durukanlıcan, born in 1989, has been interested in taekwondo for 15 years. Durukanlıcan, who continues his training depending on Konya Turk Telekom Sports Clubs, has four third prizes and one second-prize, which he has gained this year in junior category, in his career.
Durukanlıcan: "The success without support is hard"
Muhammed Ali Durukanlıcan, who expressed that the support that Turk Telekom Sports Club provides played an important role in their success, said:
"I have been engaged in taekwondo for 15 years and continuing my trainings in the last two years depending on Turk Telekom Sports Club. The opportunities that the club offers helped me to increase my performance even more. I believe that the young athletes in Turkey can achieve worldwide successes when they have opportunities. Also, my goal is to represent our country successfully in international arena. I hope one day I succeed that. I believe that the opportunities that my club offer to me will play an important role in my future career.”

Turk Telekom believes that sports play an importance role in improving the communication skills of young people, and for the last 10 years, it has supported the training of 28 thousand young sportsmen in 22 branches from basketball to fencing, badminton to skiing and tennis, thanks to the infrastructure investments it made in 41 cities. The young sportsmen trained in Turk Telekom Sports Schools that provides training in 22 different branches have placed in competitions in more than 10 branches nationally and internationally and been invited to national teams many times. . The athletes in Turk Telekom Sport Clubs achieved 30 national and 5 international championships in a total of 10 branches in 2009.
