Türk Telekom’s Support to Earthquake Area

Making the decision on not collecting the payments against the bills of customers in the region for February following the earthquake disaster occurred in Elazığ; Türk Telekom provides free communication opportunities as well to areas affected from the earthquake through special lines installed.

Türk Telekom, Turkey’s leading company of telecommunications and convergence technologies has taken an action to provide support to its customers living in the region after the earthquake disaster occurred in Elazığ.

Taking into consideration the positions of its customers in the earthquake area, Türk Telekom has decided not to collect the payments against the bills for February that have to be paid in the month of March regarding the areas of settlement affected by the earthquake.

On the other hand, coming into immediate action after the earthquake incident in Elazığ, Türk Telekom’s Provincial Directorate of the city has activated additional coin box telephones by installing special lines around the region of disaster. The local community will be able to meet their local and long distance call requirements by making use of these phones without any cards or any other methods of payment.
