Turkish Technology Opening to the Middle East

Economics journalists of the leading media companies from 17 Middle Eastern and African countries came together with executives of Türk Telekom and Türk Telekom Group’s technology companies and were briefed on innovative technologies that are exported to abroad such as Vitamin, Wirofon and TİVİBU.

Türk Telekom, Turkey’s leading company of telecommunications and convergence technologies, and Türk Telekom Group’s technology companies have come together with leading economics journalists and editors from the Middle East and Africa. Visiting Turkey upon invitation by the Association of Economics Reporters (EMD) on March 11-14, a group of about 20 foreign journalists and editors have come together with Dr. Paul Doany, Türk Telekom’s CEO, and executives of TT Group’s technology companies, namely, Argela, Innova, Sebit and Sobee at Istanbul Modern, which is an arts museum sponsored by Türk Telekom.

During the meeting organized with participation of journalists coming to Turkey from about 20 countries such as Egypt, Morocco, United Arab Emirates; Sudan and Kuwait, on the journalists have been briefed on products and services developed and exported to the region by Türk Telekom as a result of its international expansion activities and the Group’s convergence vision.

Briefing the press members especially on convergence products and services like Wirofon, TİVİBU, Vitamin and I Can Football during the meeting, Türk Telekom executives have also mentioned their future projects regarding these products.

Bülent Kaytaz, Argela’s General Manager expressed his pleasure by coming together with journalists from the region and told that they are producing innovative technologies and new generation solutions for telecom operators, , and said; “Our products are now used by many operators throughout the world and reach millions of subscribers through solutions provided to those operators. We proactively develop the technology for communication networks through our R&D studies and these technologies provide a competitive advantage for the said operators”.

Aydın Ersöz, General Manager, Innova, the leading company in the field of information solutions and services, stated during the meeting with journalists and editors from the Middle East and Africa that they are providing services for companies in many fields from telecommunication organizations to public sector enterprises and from distribution sector to finance sector; and he said, “We are introducing innovative high technology solutions that provide pluses like efficiency increases, cost reductions and competitive advantages while creating values. We are covering the value chain of consultancy, design, application development, integration and maintenance through our services which independent of products and brands”.

Ahmet Eti, Sebit’s General Manager, said, “We are producing solutions that make educational activities more effective by using the technology and we became one of the world’s leading companies. Vitamin has taken its place today in the markets of five different countries with its versions adapted to the related countries’ curricula. It has English, Arabic and Chinese versions available. And, we are getting the return for our R&D activities of 22 years with the awards like “the World’s Best Online Educational Solution” and “the World’s Best Content Service”.

Mevlüt Dinç, Sobee’s General Manager, has provided information to the journalists on the “I Can Football” game which has attracted attention of many people within a very short period of time from its introduction to the market.
