With the cooperation of Turk Telekom and TRT, the 30th year of the 23rd April Festivals have been celebrated with joy

With the cooperation of Turk Telekom and TRT, the 30th year of the International 23rd April Children’s Festival has been celebrated by the many activities and concerts in Antalya, between 16-26 April.

By the festivals with the attendace of more than 600 children from 39 cuntries, the “peace” message, which is the main theme of the festival, has been given to the whole world.

Turkey’s telecommunication giant Turk Telekom has become the mainsponsor of the TRT 23rd April Children’s Festivals, which have been celebrated continuously since 1979. This year more than 600 children and approximately 200 guest leaders have attended the festivals within the context of the International 23rd April Children’s Festival, which is the first and the only children’s festival in the world and which had been presented to the children of the world by the Great Leader Ataturk.

The traditional annual Festival Parade has been realized by the participation of more than 2 thousand children in Antalya on the 17th April. The Festival Parade, which has attracted great attention in Antalya, has become a joyous start for all the activities. On the activity on the 19th April, all the children have written their own peace messages, put their messages in bottles and left the bottles in the sea with the wishes of their messages coming true. In another activity on the same day, the paintings the children had painted on canvases with the theme of peace have been exhibited in the Karaalioglu Park. On the 21st of April, the Religions’ Garden in Belek has been visited. Then, all the children have planted a tree for every country, in the area within the Religions’ Garden in Belek, in order to form the ‘23rd of April Peace Forest’.

And again on the 21st of April, the representative children of 39 countries and their Turkish children hosts have been accepted by the Prime Minister, the President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and our President, after they had visited Ataturk’s tomb in Ankara. Additionally, the children have experienced unforgettable moments by dancing and entertaining in the concerts of Hepsi, Athena, Murat Boz and Sıla.

After all these activities within the scope of the festivals realized by the main sponsorship of Turk Telekom, the Gala performance, in which the children perform their national dances, have been realized in the Aspendos Antique Theatre on the 23rd of April. After the performance, which has attracted great attention and been watched with admiration, the famous musician Tarkan took the stage in the Glass Pyramid in Antalya, within the scope of the special 30th year program. All the children and participants joined Tarkan and danced, and had an unforgettable night.
